Nice restaurant with new decor, huge terrace, the service was always in order, I have been here several times.

Coffee and desserts very delicious and the service really friendly.

Ate at the Wiener Cafe in Gmunden right on the lake promenade. Very nice view, acceptable prices. The grill plate was large and tasted very good. The waitress wasn't the quickest, but the meal was ready in a few minutes. There is a clear recommendation from me.

A fun place for a cup of coffee. Great soups. Small portions. Prices are a bit expensive but it's a tourist town

We stayed at an apartment above this cafe and ate here for 4 mornings straight. Breakfast was good and the view can't be beat. Service was also good. When it's nice out, sitting on their big outdoor patio was great.

Most beautiful location and view in Gmunden. Unfortunately, the quality of the food not appropriate to the price level! The bad luck that I had a long black hair in the food.

Terrible smoking in a decent restaurant. Food is simple and relatively expensive (10-20 Eur). Views are nice.Response: There were many smokers on the terrace of the restaurant, not inside. Still awful. Not a wrong restaurant.

Magnificent view of the Traunsee, the castle place on the mountain panorama. The service was very friendly. Only the baked Schnitzel could have more quality. But these are nuances. Therefore only 4 ⭐

Beautiful view and a nice staff, but to be honest I wasn't impressed with the Sacher Torte. The Mandarin Torte was much better.

Really over priced, only 1 vegan option which was 12€ and all it was was a few small falafels and some lettuce. Asked if we wanted some bread and I said yes because I had so little to eat for what I was paying for. Then they charged as for each individual piece of bread we ate, which were all stale. Overpriced kids drinks and as 3.40€ for some squash.

A star for the view, which is great but I have it from home too! We are Gmundner and no tourists who are annoyed and just leave. My food (Gemüselaibchen) were the chef on one side totally burned, you just halfhearted cut away so that about 1/3 of the food was missing, to my husband Schnitzel there was lumpy tasteless, old rice. When the waitress asked if everything was alright she shared our complaint with her and she just said she would do the kitchen. My husband did not eat the rice and the rest of the burnt loaf was still on my plate. The waitress did not really care about that and she cashed the full amount at pretty high prices anyway. Such behavior is not right !! Of course not for tourists !!!

In a slow business, I ordered the menu Vegetable lasagne, salad. The salad was served. After 20 minutes the waitress wanted to dump the salad plate although I had not eaten the salad, after which I made myself and my table neighbors noticeable to the waiters and asked for the lasagna the (upper layer dried up and parched) lasagna was served. In the case of a complaint I was told there should be no more. At my request, I was nachserviert 2 ragged pieces.My table neighbors told me their dishes were impeccable. Lasagna was perfect in terms of taste, but the price 9,80 EUR in size (previously adequate pieces were served) is a !!!!!Very unprofessional with complaints. Mistakes can also be admitted.They wanted to know why only one star.

I ordered a Wiener schnitzel with potatoes. 3 pieces of potatoes were a bit poor and cranberries were charged separately. My girlfriend had a salad which was puny .... embarrassing to get served. Conclusion: This place was ever better

Tastefully renovated, modern Viennese coffee house with a beautiful terrace and priceless beautiful views!

It is nice to sit on the first floor on the terrace, with a direct view of the Traunsee, but unfortunately the range of desserts is on a rather below average level. Even the ice cream creations are just standard. Too bad, such a great scenery and no adequate offer ... 😐

After we had searched the Esplanade in vain for a nice restaurant directly on the lake and went back disappointed, we saw the restaurant at the Viennese Café. We looked for a place on the upper terrace with a fantastic view. The service was very friendly and fast, so we could order immediately. Since sometimes the food is too meaty for me, I also like to take something vegetarian. Here the offer was pleasantly varied and appealing. We were not disappointed. The food was perfect in terms of taste, my portion was just right, not too little, not too much. Only the goulash was more of a soup, so also the roll to, but even without extra charge in pasta could be changed. That's very fair! We enjoyed food and views! We are sure to come back again.

Vienna Café serves up fantastic food and spectacular views of the lake. This makes for a wonderful option if you're looking for a more up-class cullinary experience. The fish and pasta was great and highly recommended, albeit if the fish portion itself was rather small. The chocolate cake delivered all it promised through the glass display cabinet, and more. With outside elevated veranda seating, the restaurant is also family-friendly. There are toilets outside the restaurant with a pass code on the door. So they are semi-private. The staff was also friendly and professional.

Large Sunday flea market, is worth a visit.

What can you say, beautiful view from the Terase to the lake, right in the pedestrian zone, also nice selection of dishes and drinks ... Well, rather unfriendly and unprofessional staff. Not too attentive and tried hard. Unfortunately.And unfortunately not the first time.Despite everything, the view is beautiful and choice is fine ... 🤗

Schlechtes Industrieeis in Industriepalatschinken! Ich hab sowas noch nicht erlebt. Aber wenn man in so einer Traumlage ist, muss man sich halt nicht mehr bemühen!

The view of the lake is beautiful, the Sozi good, the coffee, however, only average and the cottage cheese strudel with vanilla sauce came from freezer and packaging. I'm sure: something better will be found on site.

View top the service deserves only 3 stars,to sit for half an hour with empty glasses when doing businesswithout the operation comes over is already strange!

A waitress for all tables, so very long waits. The schnitzel was swimming in fat, the chicken fillet was dry and the pasta was overcooked. The only reason to come here is the really good beverage selection and the beautiful view

EARLY NAUGHTY WAITER. First we waited 15 minutes .. I went to her and she said I should sit down again until she comes. As if I were here in kindergartenI ordered a hot chocolate with a punch and because of the action in front of it, it filled my cup with a punch. I asked her very kindly if she could bring me a new cup - and then immediately with an annoyed tone - of course I can.Then when she brought it here she told me that I should just leave the blow next time and not stir. So really heard heard! 🤮🤮🤮

A very special restaurant and bar, the food is tasty and different, the staff very friendly, courteous and friendly, but a bit forgetful! The whole restaurant is very clean and well maintained. You can also order a variety of drinks and food but also local beers! recommendable

Absolutely unfriendly waitress! First we have 20min. waited to order drinks, then I once asked politely if we can order something and have gotten the answer "yes, I'll come, can not share" this answer, she has incidentally given several guests and in the absolutely unfriendly Volume. She only cashed and nothing else, only the trainee went and he was great! I then tipped him. At these prices you expect something different. Never again.So that means you want to accuse me I can not read? We were on Thursday (I think it was the 8th of August) before the Seiler and Speer concert with them and since I myself have learned restaurant specialist I'm also from the subject. 😉It's not about the waiting time! Super cappuccino and cottage cheese strudel. Great easy chic facilities inside and good elevated views, being on the first floor, can be found here. In my opinion exactly what I expect in an Austrian cafe. Very good service is offered. Prices are a bit higher for a resort, but not overpriced for quality.
